About Bayou Littles
A Houston parents' guide, built by a Houston dad of two who got tired of searching ten sites to answer one question: what should we do with the kids today?
Bayou Littles is a small, local site with three jobs: free printables you can use in the next five minutes, honest notes on the trails, parks and indoor spots around Houston, and short parenting guides written for real weeks, not ideal ones.
How we keep it honest
- Prices and hours are read from each place's own site and dated. If we could not confirm something, it says so.
- No fake reviews, ever. Local businesses can buy a Featured listing or sponsor the weekly email, and those spots are always labeled “Featured” or “Sponsored.” Paying never changes our notes or which reviews post. (No business has paid for anything yet; how it works.)
- Printables are our own original art. Print as many as you like for home or classroom use.
- The parenting guides are general information. Your pediatrician knows your kid; we don't.
What's next
A weekly “this weekend in Houston” list, a short email with the picks and one new printable (see what the Thursday email looks like), and a gear page with the things that survive our kids.

How reviews work
- Parents who opt in by email get one short email after a visit they saved or planned: “How was Hermann Park? Tap a star.” One per place, never more.
- A tap opens the review page with that rating filled in; a first name, the kids' ages and a sentence or two finish it.
- Every review is read by a person before it posts. No paid reviews, no fake ones, no incentives.
- Unsubscribing is one tap in every email. Email addresses are never shown.
